This is a complete guide on how to install NFL Street Reborn for your handheld/portable system. You can also download this version to play on macOS devices!

Requirements: Dolphin Emulator already installed and a legally ripped game file of NFL Street 2 – GameCube (US)

Guide:

Step 1: Download at https://nflstreetreborn.com/download/

Step 2: Unzip the file

Step 3: Open Terminal/Console

Step 4: Copy the file path of “Step 1 – Patch Game File”. Traditionally you right-click on the folder and a dialog option will pop up. On Mac, right-click on the folder while holding the Option key, then select “Copy [folder name] as Pathname.”

Step 5: Type “cd” (minus the quotes) into the terminal, and then paste in the file path you copied. Then hit enter.

Step 6: Type this command, minus the quotes: “chmod +x patch.sh”

Step 7: Then type this command to begin the patcher: “./patch.sh”

Step 8: Follow the dialog of the patcher, it will instruct you what to do and where to drag your file.

Step 9: Locate your Dolphin’s User Folder. To find out where that is, open up Dolphin Emulator, hit File, and hit “Open User Folder”. That will open the User Folder.

Step 10: Move everything in the “Transfer to Device” folder except NSR.iso and NSR.png to your Dolphin’s User Folder.

Step 11: Ensure everything has been moved, and all that remains in the transfer folder is NSR.iso and NSR.png. Then move those two files into the directory where you keep your games.

Step 12: Double-check that the following settings are activated in Dolphin:

  • Graphics: Load Custom Textures enabled
  • Advanced: Prefetch Custom Textures enabled

Step 13: Configure your controller if you have not already. You will need to swap your X and B buttons in Dolphin’s controller configuration.

Then you should be all good to enjoy! By default, this version comes with Xbox Controls! I have attached the folders with Xbox and PS controls. If you do not want Xbox Controls, follow these steps to switch:

  1. Navigate to User > Load > GN7E69
  2. Delete the Xbox Controls folder
  3. Replace it with the PS Controls folder (found in the Load folder)
